Mark Edwards joined Strauss Media Strategies in November of 2015 as Account Manager.

Prior to joining Strauss, Mark was Director of Public Relations for U/S Sports Advisors, a national sports & entertainment marketing agency, based in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he was responsible for creating effective PR campaigns for the company and several key clients, including Honda Performance Development, NASCAR, and St. Vincent Sports Performance.

Mark brings more than five-years of broadcast public relations experience to Strauss, and has led highly successful television and radio projects and teams for The Coca-Cola Company, American Red Cross, Expedia, Frito-Lay, The Home Depot, USO, National Fire Protection Association, Visa, and many others. In 2005, Mark joined the U.S. Pro Golf Tour as VP, Media & Communications. He was instrumental in establishing the “Byron Nelson Award,” which was given to a player who best exemplified the qualities of the late Byron Nelson. He worked directly with senior management in all aspects of the tour’s sales and marketing efforts and successfully promoted the USPGT to a national audience.

Prior to making the jump to the PR world, Mark was an award-winning television sports journalist for 16- years, and spent several of those years serving as a network reporter for FOX, covering pro and college sports throughout the Southeast. He has earned 10 “Best Sportscaster” awards from the Associated Press and has twice been nominated for an EMMY Award. He also spent several years as a news anchor and reporter.

Mark’s a former professional musician who has toured throughout the United States. He’s also a proud Veteran, performing as a drummer/percussionist with the United States Army Band.
