Senior Account Executive
Ashley Bernardi is extremely excited to join Strauss Media Strategies, bringing nearly eight years of high-level television news experience to the company. She has produced live shots, news stories, covered breaking news, and has booked high-profile guests including lawmakers, presidential candidates, heads of state, international leaders, academics and more.
Ashley was most recently a senior booker and producer for energyNOW!, a nationally respected syndicated energy and environmental television news magazine airing on Bloomberg Television. She has covered both the 2008 Republican and Democratic Conventions, and also the energy-angle of the 2008 Presidential elections. Prior to joining energyNOW!, she was an associate producer for CBS News in New York City, where she traveled the country covering breaking news, including the Virginia Tech massacre, and U.S. elections. Ashley routinely booked guests related to Iraq, Pakistan, Kenya, Natalee Holloway, civil rights, celebrities and more.
Ashley’s work has been placed in The Wall Street Journal, Associated Press, Reuters, the Houston Chronicle, and many other publications. Ashley is also a Contributing Editor for USO’s quarterly magazine ON PATROL, where she writes feature stories about the military. For the past three years, she has booked guests for the American News Women’s Club Galas Honorees for Excellence in Journalism, including the dais for Katie Couric, Diane Rehm and Eleanor Clift. An avid cooking aficionado, Ashley is also a former host of popular New Jersey cooking show Pots and Pans on TV-34 in Union, New Jersey.
Ashley began her career as a broadcast associate for CBS News in Washington, D.C., after graduating from Radford University. Ashley was the Insights Editor for her campus newspaper, “The Tartan”, and won the newspaper’s 2003 Editor’s Choice Award.
She resides in Northern Virginia.
