SENIOR Account Executive
Darci Marchese joined Strauss Media Strategies as a Senior Account Executive in March of 2023. She brings with her 30 years of award-winning broadcast experience in both radio and television news.
Prior to joining Strauss, Darci spent more than 18 years at WTOP-FM, an all-news radio station in Washington, D.C. She spent her last 7 years there as News Director, after working as an assignments manager, anchor, reporter and producer.
At WTOP-FM, Darci won 4 Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards along with a National Edward R. Murrow Award and Gracie Award for her series and documentaries that shined the light on PTSD and brain injuries among our brave service men and women in the military, along with mental illness and suicide. She also won numerous Associate Press Awards for similar work.
Darci won her first National Edward R. Murrow Award at KSL-AM for a series called ‘Violent Voices, or Just Music.’ During her 30-year broadcasting career, Darci has worked in many radio newsrooms across the country as well as at WDAF-TV in Kansas City, MO where she was an Associate Producer/Producer for the morning show and dabbled in some on-air work.
Outside of work, Darci enjoys traveling, bicycling, and hiking along with spending time with her husband and daughter, when she isn’t busy ‘hitting the books’ at college. Her hometown is Buffalo, NY but no, that doesn’t mean she likes the snow! She has, however, survived her share of blizzards in Buffalo as well as in Maryland.
Darci is thrilled to be among the talented staff at Strauss!
