The United States Conference of Mayors (USCM) held its 85th Annual Winter Meeting on January 17  – January 19, 2017 in Washington, DC. During the three-day event, Strauss Media Strategies, Inc. booked a total of 88 national and local radio interviews for 61 differenct mayors from throughout the country. During the interviews, the mayors discussed pressing national issues, such as the economy, job growth, immigration, and clean energy. The mayors also discussed how these issues would influence policies in their own cities.

Strauss Media Strategies and our team or radio booking experts set up interviews with New Orleans Mayor, Mitch Landrieu; Baltimore Mayor, Catherine Pugh; Houston Mayor, Sylvester Turner; San Francisco Mayor, Edwin Lee; and Denver Mayor, Michael Hancock, among many others.

Interview coverage reached ten national news networks, 21 statewide outlets, two regional news networks, and 55 local radio outlets across the country.The interviews reached 5,918 radio outlets with a combined audience of 15,314,000 (based on the latest data from Nielsen Audio). If one were to pay for equivalent advertising time for the interviews, which amounted to a total of 880 airtime minutes and an ad equivalency of $542,960. In other words, this radio tour reached over fifteen million three hundred thousand listeners and was valued at over five hundred forty thousand nine hundred dollars.
